The Slippery Slope

The Hunter's Moon last night, also known as the Harvest Moon.  The colour of the sky was a lovely soft mauve with pink and blue.

My submission for this week's them for the Weekly Photo Theme project, in which I have fallen behind.  #WeeklyPhotoProject2013 +Weekly Photo Project 2013 curated by +Andrew Willard , +Iain Harley and  +Tiina Niskanen

I always knew beer tasted better in a glass

Now I know why (apart from it being uncivilized)! It's not often drunk this way here, more's the pity. Drinking beer from a bottle is a bit like eating your meal directly from the pans it was cooked in.

Why You Should Drink Beer from a Glass Beer Sessions
There is no denying the satisfaction inherent in popping the cap off a beer at the end of a long day and swigging straight from the bottle. But. Pouring that frosty cold beer into a pint glass has its own rewards. Perhaps you’ve been turned off to this notion after hearing a beer geek friend expound one too many times on the subject, but give me a chance to persuade you. If you love craft beer, pour it in a glass.

After Sunset

In album Weekly Photo Project 2013

I was seduced by the wonderful colours reflected in the water about 10 minutes after the sun disappeared from sight. So vivid. Almost surreal. Not taken this week as it has rained most evenings for a while now.

Descent to Crystal Falls, Nova Scotia

In album NovaScotiaLandscapes

A field trip last weekend took me to Crystal Falls, which is deeply hidden in the woods, not altogether easy to find. It was my second trip to the falls, my second time to get lost going there. The falls are featured (from my first trip) a little later in this album.

I have had too much studio work lately which has kept me from posting on G+, so I hope this makes up for it.

Have a great weekend everyone.

I'm not sure what this says about my town, but it might be that the art/sport of Shoe Tossing is alive and well in Canning 'My (current) Home Town'. Personally I believe that they belong to a trainee tightrope walker. For more information on Shoe Tossing, for the curious: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoe_tossing
