This photograph was made yesterday on a beautiful Spring afternoon walk on the peaceful shore of the Minas Basin close to Starr's Point, Nova Scotia. As we were walking back we met another fisherman making his way to the shore who announced: 'The striped bass will be biting soon. Hope it's today.'
The clarity of the water and the beautiful colours really appealed to me in these wild waves crashing on the shores of Newfoundland. – Cape Spear, Newfoundland, March 2013
Inspired by today’s theme on #joinindaily – “Waves”, I found my images originally taken at that time and created a gallery for them.

Newfoundland In 2013 I was invited to teach and demonstrate in Newfoundland. I had a wonderful few days there, with not a lot of time with my camera. These are some of the photographs I took during my time there. On a browser click on a thumbnail to bring up the full size image. Play the slideshow or choose full screen option. After lunch we came back to the beach as the sky had become more interesting. So here is another shot of the same beach. There must have been a line of 1/2 km or more, 18″ wide or so, of strawberries. And that’s just the amount of beach that I could see.
The streets of Nova Scotia aren’t exactly paved with gold, but our beaches are flooded with strawberries… at least they were today! Strawberries as far as the eye could see. No kidding. Wherever did they come from?
