Do you know what this little chipmunk was doing, moments before I took this photograph? He was pounding the life out of a poor little goldfinch. There was plenty of food for everyone, he just chose to do this for fun. He had been sitting there eating black oiled sunflower seeds along with the birds and then turned on the poor youngster and killed him.
I couldn't wait until +Squirrel Saturday #squirrelsaturday before exposing this little monster and his crimes. Sorry to burst the bubble of cuteness, but there you have it. +SE Blackwell +Skippy Sheeskin

I once had chipmunks as a pet, three to be precise (one after another) and they were monsters and cute, I can't help to love them 🙂

Yes, +Steven Kennard I have seen this happen before. I have also seen the peanuts very plentiful and a beautiful bluejay sitting and sharing them with a young squirrel and then for no reason the bluejay turns on the squirrel and starts to beat him up to kill him. And yet, I still think all the squirrels and chipmunks are adorably cute and I still find the bluejay very beautiful too. I guess we can see in the animal species and in nature what we as people see happening in society. There is beauty and evil and sometimes they are both one and the same.
That's the cutest cold hearted killer I've ever seen! Maybe he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time 😉
