The day after an extreme blizzard, with temperatures of -22 C (c. -8 F) and 17 hours of wind and snow, the landscape here has been transformed into sculpted dunes, with only a rare bit of remaining vegetation showing above the surface.

Yes, we are – and I wish it was over already 😉 +Carl Witmer. And thanks!
Love the brave weed.
Just like the sand dunes are formed. Great photo! I hope you didn't stay out very long. Brrrrr. +Steven Kennard

Thanks +Tery Higgins
We stayed out for an hour and a half but walking with snow shoes keeps you warm 😉
Thank you +Jim Warthman.
With the late afternoon sun the textures looked just amazing.
Yes, snow shoes give you a good workout. Around here we have had some wicked winds to deal with.
+Steven Kennard I really do like this……almost looks like those sand things the kids play with to make the different textures…….. It will be my pleasure to share with the +Landscape Photography page.
Just wonderful, +Steven Kennard.
Thank you very much +Sheila B. DuBois
Thank you very much +Bette Kauffman
+Steven Kennard, this reminds me of the pictures people have between glass where the sand makes the picture. Love the way the snow swirled and the little plant braved the cold to get to the sun.
+Sharon Stone that's exactly what I was trying to say LOL
+Sheila B. DuBois :-))
Steve …. I was Lawn Bowling in 41C yesterday and almost cooking … What a contrast to Down Under .. Happy New Year ..

That really is a wild contrast +Len Phillips and I thought hot air was supposed to rise.
So sculptured it could be stone, chiselled by the wind +Steven Kennard . Beautiful and tells a great story of the resilience of plant life.
Thank you +Janet Patterson.
Very pleased you like it.
I very much do +Steven Kennard
