The only wonderful thing about having single paned windows in the Canadian winter, is being able to photograph the beautiful patterns that are created by the frost. (Un)fortunately we had new windows put in this year, so I have to look in my archives to share these images.

I love the curves too.
These patterns are magnified approximately four times with a special lens that I have.

+Ric Wooldridge I'd rather be where you are too, but I'm not 🙁
Thanks a lot!
Fantastically beauteous!!!
+Steven Kennard, what kind of lens do you have that took this wonderful paisley ice picture?
Excellent as always +Steven Kennard. What a shame to have lost the single panes, but I bet you're not a bit sorry this year.
Wonderful shot!
Wonderful design, only nature can do it like this
+Sharon Stone I'm glad you like this photograph.
It was made with a Canon lens,

It's a wonderful lens but takes some practice to use. 😉
Thank you +Teija Tamminen-Saremaa
Thanks +Janet Patterson
Thanks for tagging me +Anneke Dubash, I always love to see great frost shots. 🙂
+Steven Kennard, lovely image. I can see that the heat has had an impact on the growth, creating rounded tips instead of sharp angles. This adds to the very "fern-like" appeal of these formations. Nice lighting too!
Thanks for the info +Steven Kennard. Looks like an amazing lens (way out of my price range), but what a beautiful shot of the ice on your window!!!
Magnifique
Merci beaucoup +Paul Paradis
