Ellie took this photograph of me getting ready for the 2015 Woodturning class at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Maine. The new Woodturning Studio is beautifully equipped and spacious and the students and I were so grateful for the air conditioning in those hot days of the course. I like to have some of my boxes on display when I teach so that students can see finished examples of some of the techniques they are learning and how I incorporate them into my work. She caught me setting up the lathe they have for instructors, with my display case ready for the class.
It was an excellent week with a terrific bunch of students and I have great memories of my time there.
Next demo is in Quebec with tours in British Columbia and Ontario in the Spring next year!

A man and his boxes.
That is impressive. I like the presence of a mirror over you, undoubtedly useful to students grouped around.
Wow!! Wish I was close enough to attend! Looks amazing! And great shot +Ellie Kennardβ!
It's all over +Pam Boling – so don't feel bad! And thanks. I was pleased with it.
So awesome! Would love to see it in person!
He isn't going to do others in the future? That's too bad.
Of course he is, +Pam Boling – I thought you meant for that one. I guess (hope) they will invite him back there, but usually it's every 2 or years there. Maybe near you sooner. Where are you?
Haha, I'm on Las Vegas, doubt they'll get close to me. π
Well, he was in Phoenix last year. And in Pittsburgh this year. And was other places too, in the US. You just never know, +Pam Boling
I would SO attend!! I used to have a great woodworking shop. The only thing missing was a lathe, and I wanted one badly. π
Who knows? I might even travel for it if circumstances allow. π
Thanks, +Ellie Kennard!
Keep an eye on Steven's blog and profile. He hasn't much time to post his photography (nor take any photos) as he is so tied up with his turning and getting us ready for winter. But that would be wonderful, +Pam Boling
Will do +Ellie Kennard. I had intended to apply for a passport this past week but never got around to it. That's on my list for next week.
Can you believe I've never had a passport?! π I have been to both Canada and Mexico when a passport wasn't required. I think it's high time I get off this chunk of land.
π Great stuff, get out there, Girl!! +Pam Boling – I have been a wanderer and got my first passport when I was 18. Had one ever since, except for once when I travelled on an expired one. My daughter had her own when she was 8 months old.
I know +Ellie Kennardβ. I just happened upon 50,000 bonus points on British Airways too, quite by accident. That was after I made the decision to get my passport. That decision was so I will get my rear in gear to find the resources to get me where I want to go. π
YAY! +Pam Boling – hooray for airmiles and bonus miles or points. What would we do without them??
