  1. Other than a couple of cats I was "forced" to have for a while, I've never had pets. However, in comparing dogs and cats, I have to agree that dogs are better. And what I like about them most is the expressivelness of their faces when they look at you longingly. I would never have one myself, but I've gotten to quite like other people's dogs. And Joni's expression in this picture perfectly captivates what I'm talkig about. The longing, the trust, the devotion … they all show through. And I don't think it's just human interpretation. I'm sure some animals are quite capable of feelings we normally attribute to humans because they reinforce it by their behavior. Great and perfectly timed picture here.

  2. No problem, Ellie. I really enjoy the shots of Joni 🙂 .. I was with Dog Lovers until just the other day. Yes, it's just Robert for now. I'm sure he will find another assistant in the future.

  3. +Lynn David Newton I think you have great insight into the characters of dogs even though you have never had one of your own. If you treat your dog well it will be a friend for life, indeed something very special.
I do think it's a mistake though to compare cats and dogs, they are such different creatures and I must say I love my cats for completely different reasons.
I think it's great that you can enjoy your friends dogs without haveing the responsibility of ownership which can be demanding at times.
Glad you like the photograph Lynn. Thank you.
