This was taken at the (blocked) entry to Canning on the night of the storm, last week. Roads were blocked, trees had fallen onto electricity and phone lines, so most people had neither. Which meant for many people in the area that they also didn&#39;t have water (as most living outside of the main town limits rely on wells and electric pumps). Which for many\u00a0meant that\u00a0they didn&#39;t\u00a0have drinking or washing or cooking water, but also couldn&#39;t flush toilets. And for many people that situation lasted for 5 days. On top of this many people suffered some damage to property and lost a lot of mature trees, pulled down by the force of the wind in the branches that were heavy with\u00a0strong early summer\u00a0leaves.<\/p>\n<p>Now it&#39;s all over.
